This one will add some pressure to the salesroom at today's Hershey auction by RM. The 100 year old, but never restored Stanley Runabout. Let's see what a steamer is capable to do in today's market. (editor's UPDATE: steam indeed escaped from the salesroom: with US$ 160,000 this Stanley brought twice the estimate high. Unrestored quality cars are hot, that's for sure. All Fords did sell very well. At the same time there were steals for willing buyers. One example, a very sharp Mitchell went for under $ 20,000. See also RM’s press release.)
