Size Matters... a Norwegian Mystery (update: Humberette)

Stein Tranvik from Norway sends this charming photo of a hard to identify runabout with a remarkably simple registration plate (from which town?). Stein writes: "What is this? The woman was born in 1888. Her name is Sigrid. The dog probably had a name too. But what was the name of the car? The photo is taken in Norway 1913 or shortly after. The girl did not marry the owner. Maybe the car was too small... We have not been able to identify this small car yet. Anyone out there who can?"

The nameless dog with its wise expression is obviously reminiscing times when horsepower smelt different.
Even Sigrid seems to have her doubts.

I'd say it is an air cooled Humberette. As for the dog he seems to be a setter which breed is known to absolutely brainless so that may indicate why he is distracted.

It is definitely a Humberette. You can see still a small part of the characteristic curved guiding rod of the outside breaking (?)handle just left of Sigrid (also the reflectance in the door). Flat trunk, rounded mudguards, four spoke steering wheel all fit.

I vote for the Humberette. The Peugeot Bebé was the first car fitted with Ettore Bugatti's hallmark-reversed quarter elliptic rear springs.

Looks like a 1913-14 Humberette, as for the dog, I don't know it's name but he/she is more interested in something other than the photographer.
