Spark problems? UPDATE: Splitdorf?

Anybody who can tell which car - or more precise - which make of magneto is causing 'the trouble'? Please report to editor Rutger Booy. Click for a few bits of sparkling inspiration) (Horwitz Collection).

Update IV: Peter Pegg thinks that “From the pictures to hand, it looks more like a 1908 or 1909 Buick Model 10. (The 1910 model seems to have had horizontal rear mudguards rather than curved ones following the shape of the wheel.) The colour has obviously been applied in the traditional postcard manner by hand. The original would have been painted Buick Grey-a very pale shade, almost white. George Dammann in Seventy years of Buick (Crestline) notes that they were often called little white Buicks.”
Update III: Gerard Lansink has seen a Splitdorf magneto on a 1910-1911 Maxwell 2 cyl.
Update II: Tom Chaney says that we're almost certainly looking at a 1910 Buick runabout. He’s not sure of the brand of magneto, though. His guess is Splitdorf.
Update I: Mark Dawber thinks that this car looks to be American and around 1907. It may be an Oldsmobile of a similar model to the one in the ‘radiator initials mystery'. Further he notices that “It is odd that the lady is in the 'mother-in-law' seat - although maybe she can cuddle him less awkwardly than if she was in the front!”
