Submerged car ID (upd. '29/'30 Dodge or Chrysler?)

David Coe sends this arty picture of a car eaten away by water and salt somewhere in the the drowned city Epecuen, Argentina. David writes: "Although I doubt it's of huge interest to your readers I wonder if anyone can venture an identification of this vehicle." How wrong David, we love this kind of unidentified cars! Although we're not really sure this is a pre-war, we wouldn't be surprised if it is. The chassis design, the positions of the engine, the remainders of a running board(?), the hub showing at the rear wheel, it could very well be a pre-war vehicle. Presunably of American making. The engine looks like  a big six, or is it eight? We're sure that our connoisseur readers will bring light in this quickly.

It looks like a 1930s Chrysler.

I'd say it's a 1929/30 Dodge DA six, updraft carburetor, manifold is definitely Dodge, water pump, hole for distributor on cylinder head the gearbox hand brake, three running board brackets. The 16" wheels are not original. It's the same car as on the link Adrian PT sent, notice the right rear tyre.

Is this the same car? http://www.flickr.com/photos/11377451@N07/5010902254 - in which case, definitely pre-war, perhaps circa 1932, converted to a pick-up?

Looks typically american to me, an eight, posibly a studebaker of 1930 vintage similar to a pierce engine made by the same company, the Transmission brake should be a help to someone,

The location of the stepney makes it a car of our era. Appears to be American, a few close-up shots would have helped. The rear right wheels appears to be held in place by a spinner, but the stepney seems to suggest a solid rim. Maybe the effects of corrosion.
Maybe it will join the Bugatti in the Peter Mulin Collection.

The link has a video which, if played at 1:50, seems to show the same vehicle from the other side with a few pieces removed.
