The auction houses are going crazy! The tremendous amount of historic vehicles that will be sold the upcoming month is just unbelievable. Political uncertainty, an economic recession, or market instability… we have absolutely no idea what some people are talking about. But we do know trade is being conducted and PreWarCars are booming! Of course, we are very proud to be part of this movement and are able to show you some of these cars. The following lots will be auctioned by the French auction house Stanislas Machoir.
This time we will also show you a couple of PreWarMotorbikes. All vehicles need a thorough check before they can go out on the road as they were part of the collection of the Retro Auto Moto Museo (RAMM) in Barcelone, Spain. And please do take your time to go through the lots, because there are lots...
We have chosen a couple of PreWarCars we would like to show you. First of all, have a look at this very rare 1903 Isotta Fraschini by Cessare ISOTTA en Vicenzo FRASCHINI we found in the catalogue. We personally really like it. It is a shame the photographs do not really show the car to the fullest. Do you go for a PrePreWarCar? Then this German 1897 Norbert Ertle might be something for you. You kind of are missing the horse. This 480kg, single cylinder car has a surprisingly 7 hp engine. But this certainly does not mean you need to be in a hurry with this chain driven horseless carriage. Something totally different is this Overland a Willys Whippet Type 96 A. The 1928 sedan is in a good condition and therefore estimated between €15.000 and €18.000. Another rather nice looking car which caught our eye is this Corre La Licorne. The Cabriolet V14 has Belgian documentation and would make a lovely touring car for the whole family.
Over to the PreWarMotorbikes! Look for instance at the beautiful details of this 1929 Gnome et Rhone. Or this AJS Silver Streak, launched in 1938. Super sports bikes with 250, 350 or 500cc engines. And if you really want to stand out in the crowd, then this bright red 1920 Griffon might be something for you. The factory in Courbevoie was founded in 1901 and became very successful. Finally, in 1927 they became part of Peugeot. We also came across a Radior BMA Radiorette. The simplicity itself, but this had a purpose. The bike was equipped with only 100 cm3, this to avoid taxes.
