The famous roadrace of Sicily was first held in May, 1906(site of Mario Grifasi). The photo is showing the number two of 1914, a De Vecchi (carsfromitaly.com). The Targa Florio became faster and faster every year, until 1957 when a terrible accident put an end to it. In 1989 a historic version brought back life to the ancient memories and routes.
