This photograph sent by Richard Biddulph is believed to have been taken in Taunton, south-west England, in 1911. The two smartly-dressed lads with their splendid matching caps are obviously the centre of attention. They will probably remain unknown but surely we can do better with the car.
It has been suggested that it is a Peugeot -- but as they didn't introduce rounded profile radiators until 1913, and had louvred bonnet sides, this tends to rule them out. We think the car although having an English cabriolet body may possibly be one of the smaller models from a manufacturer located some 700km east of Peugeot's home, but roughly on the same latitude. Does the snapshot of a survivor help with the answer, or merely confuse? Do let us have your thoughts.

The radiator badge is quite similar to Austro-Daimler. Who knows if these cars were imported in the UK in that era. ingevoerd.
