The Beaulieu Autojumble Mysteries

Twenty-five years ago editor Rutger Booy visited the famous Beaulieu Autojumble for the first time. He hasn’t missed the event ever since. In 1983 the parts situation was quite different. Looking for a De Dion Bouton engine? No problem, lots and lots of them to choose from. Searching for an early headlamp? Boxes full! The difference with those days is that today people are looking for parts to fit cars that still had to be manufactured in 1983 ;-) Back then we saw this three-wheeler amidst lots of other junk. What was it? A Phänomobil perhaps? Can you tell? Did it survive? The other mystery is why people -like your editor- keep returning to the Beaulieu Autojumble year after year after year. To solve this you have to visit the Beaulieu Autojumble yourself to find out. It will be held during the weekend of September 13 and 14. PreWarCar has a stand on the Yellow field, numbers Y221 & Y222. Do come and visit us.
