The Birthday Present (UPDATES: Lots of links)

Very few parents will take up the plan and travel 4 days to buy their four year old daughter a vintage van. Yet so did one of our loyal and oldtimer visitors quite recently. The 'mad collector' and his forgiving wife went all the way to Bordeaux, France to pick up this charming 1934 Rosengarth for their baby daughter. The car will undergo a strictly mechanical restoration and will be allowed to keep the cosmetical charm as applied by 73 years of French rural life. We are looking forward to Zofia's first driving report in 2021...! (photos by her father who is wondering if there is something like a Rosengarth Register? Please let us know.)
Update I: Bart Oosterling tells us his son turns seven shortly and he already started thinking about buying him a special kind op present. Perhaps an Austin Seven? In the meantime he came up with the following links to help the proud father of Zofia: a a Dutch/English site about Rosengart; a Rosengart and Simca 8 site; and a German Rosengart website.
Update II: Thilo Moerke is not a aware of a Rosengart Register, but there is a Rosengart Museum that is always worth a visit and the Bonk family is keen to welcome new Rosengart owners.
Update III: Nico Claerhout made this picture (click) of an almost identical Rosengart Van at the International Rosengart meeting in Belgium last May. It’s still in original condition and filled with groceries.
Update IV: David Cochrane tells us that parts for the mechanical restoration can be found here (click).
