The Breadvan

At first sight this looks like an ordinary, plain van. But click on the pic and you’ll see another world opening up for you. The welfare of a French village depends on this van and their baker! You may correct us if we have it wrong, but we think the van is a Renault KZ, probably dating from 1923 or thereabouts, as it has the round emblem on the hood. In 1926 this was replaced by the still familiar Renault diamond. This photo is one of a series of great vintage pictures that was sent to us by Model T owner Olivier Chabanne from France.
