Theo Castricum discovered of this
- potentially - highly attractive 1931 Chrysler CD 8 Roadster of which no more than 511 were made according to the Standard Catalogue (thanks Kit! ). Now that alone is making this an attractive under $ 10,000 deal. But there's more. From hear-say we understand that this elegant roadster once was owned by Dutch cartoon film tycoon Joop Geesink (loeki.nl). Just before WW II he started a cooperation with Marten Toonder, the 'father' of Dutch cartoon bear Olivier B. Bommel a
vintage car enthusiast (wikipedia.org) 'avant la lettre'. Of course this is a bit of a local mystery, but for the Dutch it would be great to find out if there really is a connection between Mr. Geesink and GX8671... That aside, for our international audience, the name 'Dollywood' is a Dutch invention from 1942. A contraption of doll and Hollywood - in view of the animation films which were produced - the name has nothing to do with the event park of countrysinger Mrs. 'Twin Peaks' Parton).
