It's for my boy. We'll have those outriggers off before he is five.

Carrick Watson recently found this great shot of a Packard & Harley combo. Isn't that a great way to spend to travel? As we have no further information at all, we thought why not put you at work. Add the best caption through the commenting box and we will send a PreWarCar brass dash plate to the one we think is best. You have 24 hours to come up with alternatives. Post as many as you like. Just use the comment box. Have fun!

(editor, sorry for keeping you so long and thank you for all your creativity. we plan to do a new one soon! Last weeks winners is Ian Bowers)

hello
as far as my knowledge goes on long time in the packards...dealers and even the packard company delivered this way new cars to the buyers at home.
the person how delivered the car, went home on the bike.
so the bike on the photo is attached to the car and has a third wheel to be able to get towed.it is not a service car.

" What was old ,becomes new ??? "
What a fantatic picture (1930 !)
Such a tow-bar outfit is something I would most certainly like to have in the near future. With today's inventiveness steering braking and safety should be no problem. Looking forward to your next 2012 M.C. tow outfit . "L'HISTOIRE SE REPETE "

Good morning,

It was quite common early '30's to have service man go and get a car on their motorcycle in for service or repair. GM had it as well. Fast, easy, one man operated. A specila brought towbar transported the motorcycle at the same time Have a look at the service mans outfit, it looks like a uniform with cap.
An interesting picture for today's service perhaps, Johan
