Pile of parts or mystery motorcar?

October 1st H&H will be selling a veteran project, or is it rather a collection of veteran parts?  Point is that we can only guess what we have in front of us. An early runabout coachwork.  A - US made -  Crest opposing twin engine.  A set of wheels, suspension and many related parts. Yet no chassis. Thorough study of contemporay literature has not produced a lot so far. The seller is quite honest and has reason to believe  that earlier a steam unit may have been mounted. In the end he baptised the project Pandora, the box of surprises. We are eager to learn if you can bring some light in this.  H&H was kind enough to provide a bucket full of photos to feed your imagination.
