Glen Robb sends this great Solex advert of the car that passes the railroad.... just in time. During the last decades many, many vintage cars have been 'improved' with better (read: more modern) carburettors. Like SU instead of a bronze Solex. Nowadays the real art is to go back to the original and trying to get the best results with that. Or at least to have the right carbie in a box with the car... Otherwise they could have saved themselves the trouble to ask a true artist like Léon Fauret to do their ads; check a few examples of his art.
