A Mystery Body without Memory. (Upd. 1954 registration)

Recently found by Jan Steutel in France is this attractive body with a long swept tail. The French seller had no idea to what kind of chassis the body once belonged. Jan Steutel mentions a 2,5 metre wheelbase and a 1,10 metre track (Amilcarish? Salmsonish? ). But maybe somebody remembers the car. It is made of sheet metal with steel reinforcements inside. Was it French? Was it British? The Talbot wheels are just added for the photo and have nothing to do with the coachwork. Maybe the best clue we can give is the French registration; 665-CD-02 (click here) and the badge of Ecurie Aisne on the side. It brought us to this automobile club in Picardie, North France.
