Photo finds happen every day. They come in in just a tiny bit lower frequency than spam, but are so much more welcome ! Of course not all photos are as good, one is better than the other. We have a personal preference for "sets". The one we show you today is a set, two photos of the same car.... probably both shot in 1912! The photos were identified by Tom Clarke and John Warburton editor of the VSCC bulletin: "The two pictures of the big sports/racing car, one and the same chassis, show a Peugeot. One is outside Jackson's premises. 'C6250' (registration) on both cars." Your editor's theory is that photo 1 is showing the car on it's way from the Peugeot works and that photo 2 is the car after it received it's Roadster coachwork at Jackson's. Can you tell us more about this Peugeot? [email protected]
UPDATE by Jan Bruijn of Galleria Style e Auto:'This must be a type 136 or 136A that was built in 1911, the engiens has 4 litres. One can recognise these cars as they are the only Peugeot cars with the gastank fitted to the dashboard.'
