Time for a beer

The scene is the Hofbräuhaus in München, Germany. This postcard was sent on July 25, 1913, so we suspect the picture was taken somewhere around 1910. The Bavarian city of München is among other things very famous for its tasty beer. There are now six big breweries left in München, one of which is Hofbräu that was founded in 1589. The Hofbräuhaus at the Platz dates from 1828 and today still serves as a popular tavern. While on the subject of beer… did you visit the Brewery Truck Festival held last July in Belgium? No?
