Time to cool off.

In our part of the world it's hot, very hot at the moment and instead of going to the beach we try to cool down looking at this icy picture. As it was taken in 1917, the vehicle must be the granddaddy of today's Zamboni's, the ice resurfacing machines that are in use on most ice skating rings. But more interesting is the girl steering the 'Zamboni'. She's Dorothy Klewer, a well-known model at the time, and we wonder how on earth she's able to drive the Zamboni with her skates on! Fred. Driving wheels need two ice tyres, steering wheels at very low speeds would only need one. Cost? What is more worrying is that the young lady is looking in one direction and steering in another but of course she may not actualy be on the move.

Is there any reason for the different right front tyre?

Been there done it, my daughter-in-law drove the Zamboni at UCONN to augment her tuition and since did it in Portland Oregon for their pro team. Maybe a shot would be good for the back of the next calendar?

Editor: Yes please, do send the picture(s)!
