There was a time when safety glass was a new thing. And what better medium to advertise the issue than the window itself. I asked the owner of this B 14 Citroën what he could tell about it. He shrugged his shoulders, the sidewindow was there when he bought the car 15 years ago. We have the theory the car started life as a taxi. We think no other chauffeur as a cabdriver would agree upon an advertising window. While the cabdriver maybe received a bonus to drive around and open/close this window all day amidst the Paris crowds. It's just a theeory and you are kindly invited to give us a lecture on the history of safety glass. On the web nothing much is to be found about 'le Verre St. Christophe Sécurité' but as expected all you want about the other glass guy René Lalique. UPDATE by Bob Swanson(photo by editor)
