UPDATE: Who built the Chevy 4-door convertibles in 1939?

David Hayward, moderator at www.ChevyTalk.com replied:'This is an easy question to answer as I know the car in question and have dialogued with the owner! Although the plate suggests that it is a Convertible Coupe with Rumble Seat, I am certain that it is a converted sedan with trunk, Model 1019, Master De Luxe, converted to a Phaeton, Model 1029 by General Motors Continental, SA, Antwerp. Similar cars were converted in 1939 and 1940 by General Motors Suisse, SA, Biel or Bienne, for the Swiss Army. The conversion was done by GM Continental.' Thank you David !
