Valentine Voisin?

Of the C25 only 28 chassis were produced between 1934 and 1937. It is estimated that seven were built with the eyecatching Aérodyne body, This specific example has been in the same family for almost 60 years. It was bought by the grandfather of the present owner in 1952. Already second or third hand by then, the 1935 Aérodyne was still in good condition and kept that way over the years. It hasn’t been restored, only the engine has been rebuilt. It will be auctioned by Artcurial during their Paris sale on February 14th. The C25 Aérodyne didn’t come cheap when new. It was four times the price of a Citroën Traction Avant, and even more than Bugatti wanted for his Type 57 or Galibier. We suggest you keep this in mind when shopping for a Valentine present, as we’re afraid things haven’t changed after all these years. (photos copyright Bernard Canonne, courtesy Artcurial)
