(Update; no Zeeland girl... near TT Ford)

•

Who says that vintage cars and a green world don't mix? A typical Dutch girl on wooden shoes with a greengrocer's Model T delivery truck, which can switch to green ethanol in 10 seconds. Yet, think before you do so! Bas de Voogd found the photo 40 years back and only knows it was shot near the small town of Herkingen in the province Zeeland. The typical girl from Zeeland - called Zeeuws meisje is the Dutch icon of penny wisdom. Which brings us back to the Ford. We are hoping you will send us some great Model T shots to brighten up this cenTennial. Contact Us. (collection Bas de Voogd; be sure to stop by at his collection of Old Garages
UPDATE: oooops, a topographical slip of the pen by your editor. Visitor Jan de Heer points out that the town of Herkingen is on the island Goeree Overflakkee which is near but not part of Zeeland. So we have no 'Zweeuws meisje' after all, just a plane Dutch wooden shoe girl! Hugh Nutting ads:"It would be a real thrill riding in a T with her in her wooden shoes ! The TT Ford looks like about 1924."
