# Quiz 250 !

For this quiz with chassis number # 250 we have invited one of our old-time quiz crackers to go through his photo albums. He came up with the above picture and added: "An American phenomenon through 1920s was the 'assembled car'. Assembled, rather than manufactured, out of components purchased from specialized suppliers: Continental engines, Timken axles, A.O. Smith chassis frames and the like. Such familiar names as Jordan, Moon and Elcar were actually assembled cars. This assembled make is less well known. Its builder was not a regular constructor of passenger cars, but primarily a supplier of bodies to another American automaker. The engine is a six-cylinder Continental. The body is missing, but it was probably a limousine."
editor: there is a good chance that the above hints will not cause an avalanche of perfect answers. If the perfect answer will not come in, the sender of the 'closest' answer (geographically) will win and get the still infamous PreWarCar T-shirt. Yet, before doing anything be sure to read The Rules under Read More. (photo source and name of 'quiz-master' to be revealed next week)
