One of our readers spotted this little unrestored gem in a small museum, dedicated to all kinds of local handicraft, local industries and other assorted technical artefacts. This car was the first one in their village. Now, it’s up to you to tell us what kind of motorcar this is. To give you some clues, the company that made it started by producing engines for motorcycles, but it wasn’t long after the turn of the previous century that they made their first automobile. At first it was known by the first two letters of names of the two gentlemen who constructed it, but mostly it is referred to by a contraction of their names. The make was best known for their small motorcars (especially before and after World War I) but they also made luxury models. In the 1920s the company merged with another and the name was changed to a double name. This should be enough. Tell us the make, model and year. You don’t have to tell us what museum it is in, but information like that does help us determine the winner. And be sure to use the correct spelling of the marque! Send your answer before Monday, November 12 by using our Contact Form. The winner will receive the infamous PreWarCar T-shirt. (photo source will be published next week)
