What is it? Quiz #458

This week, we are looking for a car, I don´t have much information about. But I´d like to know more about this company, that existed in France between 1932 and 1934. At first, small racers with 350...500ccm engines were built, followed by the small sports car, you can spot on this weeks quiz-car picture. It had a two-cylinder 500ccm engine with a four-speed gearbox and was built as a roadster and also as a small coupé. For 1934 a bigger car with a 1,1 litre four-cylinder Ruby engine was announced, but this car was not realized anymore.

Can you tell me more about this little roadster and the company building it? Please leave your answer in a comment before Monday. Don´t forget to use no more than 100 words and we will stockpile your account of points for the six-months-competition.
Good luck!

Roger and Raymond Colin of Gennevilliers entered two different cars in the Bol d’Or 24-hour endurance race of 1932. They participated in the categories four-wheeled 350cc, and four-wheeled 500cc cycle cars. Also in the ‘Bols’ of 1933 and 1934, small Colin cars had some success. The 1933/1934 models included a sports car with Colin’s own two-cylinder 500cc engine, which was advertised for sale as Type AB.1. Contrary to what is suggested in the text of the quiz, the picture shows a Colin prototype with an 1100cc Ruby engine, presented in September 1934.

Roger and Raymond Colin, initially with their colleague Bechir, built small engines (branded B.C.) in Gennevilliers, near Paris. After success in the early 1930s Bol d'Or races using cars they built, in 1933, they marketed the AB1, a 500cc sports car.

September 1934 saw an ambitious move up-market - a low-slung sports car with an 1100cc 4-cylinder Ruby engine, priced at 13,000 francs. However, during the Depression years, there was a glut of used cars available. Although the company's letterhead was printed with a lucky horseshoe for the 'C' of 'Colin,' this single prototype marked the end for the company.

Good morning,

quiz n°458 is a « Colin » with a 1100 cm³ ruby (ohv engine, 4cyl.). Because of a high price (13000fr in 1934) the picture presents the only build car.

Roger Colin was with a 350 cm³ a 4 wheels cyclecar in the 1931 Bol d'Or, in the 1932 session with a 350 (Raymond Colin, n°21) and 500cm3 (Roger Colin, n°26) 4 wheels cyclecars ( two-stroke engine).
For the Bol d'Or 1933 they were with a 500cm3 4 wheels cyclecar and a 500 Good morning,

This is a Colin, and in fact not the 500 as stated, but the only Colin 1100 with the Ruby 4DS overhead valve engine. It was presented to the public in September 1934. It was planned to sell for 13,000 Francs, but turned out to be Colin's swan song. The Cyclecars Colin company of Gennevilliers made their appearance at the 1932 Bol d'Or with a victory in the 350cc category (driver Raymond Colin) and a DNF with their 500cc (driver Roger Colin). They participated successfully with three Colin 500 in 1933 and 1934 again, now with watercooled engines.
