A fabulous Renault limousine or towncar. A 1914 ED perhaps? And a joyful lady waiting on the side. Is she waiting for her husband to leave for the opera? Is she having an affair with the chauffeur? Or is she maybe the sister of the chauffeur? She seems dressed too posh for the latter and too plain for the first... So maybe she's just a photography model to add to the atmosphere of the postcard? Up to you to decide what's in her purse and what all this has to do with her awaiting attitude. The best headline/caption will get a PreWarCar brass badge. (postcard Horwitz Collection)

Well I do not think this is an old tinted photograph.The car looks like a very nice unspoiled "barn find",the kerb stones,roads,tree-planting in the background all look modern.But perhaps everyone realises this already?
