Craig Little has seen these bugs on various French cars from the 1920s through to Citroen Tractions, but has no idea what the story behind them is. 'Bourdon' is French for Bumblebee, right? But what about 'Montrouge'? And what caused them to land on the radiators of so many French cars? Here's to receiving some well-informed answers Cheers!

The name "Bourdon Montrouge" comes from the Dealer and it´s location.
His name was "CH. Bourdon" in Montrouge, a south part of Paris.
The street, where the Peugeot-garage from Mr.Bourdon was, is not Avenue Bourdon ("Boulevard Bourdon" lies not in Montrouge, she´s near Paris-Center.
The Garage Bourdon was situated in the Ave. Aristide Briand 92, Montrouge.
In any case, in the late 60s, the time of the Peugeot 504 (mailed me for pictures!).
I´m always searching for more information and old pictures or acessoires about this.
With Collector´s-regards
