Today’s quiz car is based on a normal production car, but due to its conversion it sports the names of its two fathers. The first was already one of the leading makers of vehicles in his country before the turn of the century. The other was an engineer also involved with automobile manufacturing before 1900. Together they designed this vehicle using their specialty. As basis for the construction they a two-door saloon that was just introduced and had an 1125cc side-valve engine, but this was discarded in favor of another one. What we want to know from you is the make of the car on the photo (click main pic for an enlargement, or here for a view of the rear, but we have brushed away the obvious name-plates); what car is it based on and also the names of the two men who designed it. Then tell us why is it so special and what was the reason it was designed? Also we would like to hear from you how many were approximately made as the exact number isn’t known.
