When tourism still was an adventure...

Not too many people travelled by car to Egypt back in the time of this photo, shot in Egypt near Gizeh. All we know about her is the family name Wermerskerken. Plus the car of course. She must have been a well travelled lady, not only because her 1936 Chevrolet has the temporary pre-1951 Dutch licence plate starting with the letter ‘R’, but also by the many badges on the front bumper. From left to right we recognize one from the KNAC (Royal Dutch Automobile Club); the AA; an unknown; then one from the Real Automobile Club Italia and the one on the right looks German to us. The remainder of the month April ANY Chevy advertised will get an Editor's Choice treatment! Start here.
