Who bought these Voisins?

Pieter Veenje is a collector of old car auction catalogues and other publicitary outings. Recently he bought this intriguing announcement of a 1933 auction by Campagne & Morlot in Paris (no information found on them, except location). Of specific interest of course is the fact that the chassis numbers of two cars and two rolling chassis are mentioned, which may lead us to the current owners of the cars #47.186 and #47.192 and the chassis #47.126 and #47173. They were sold as one lot, how much times have changed! We are of course curious what has become of these cars. Click photo for full poster.

Hello Pascal,
that is a missunderstanding. I meant C23 and C24 together. I got the information from the "Les Amis de Gabriel Voisin" - Homepage:
http://www.avions-voisin.org/public/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=6
I just checked your Voisin-book and Thierrys fabolous Voisin-page, and both tell me, there were 355 C23 and 120 C24 built.
Best regards,
Hubertus

These four cars seem to be C23;

Engine 47200 was delivered in a C23 car. If you have more info I will be interested.

Hubertus, why do you think that 450 C23 have been built ? From the info I have up today it appears that this number is very high.
I will be interested also to have a confirmation of the 18 C23 you mentioned as existing today. This number seams also high so any information is very welcome if confirmed.

Hello everybody, I can only confirm Hubertus informations. These cars are perhaps
hidden in some discrete barns somewhere but as far as I know they doesn't exist anymore.

Thierry

Hello,
I think the auctioned cars have to be some Voisin C23, eventually there may be an early C24 among them. 18 Cars of about 450 built are still known.
Best regards,
Hubertus
