Ford boasted that its all-new 1941 models were longer, wider, and more powerful than ever before, with improved performance and refined styling by noted Lincoln-Zephyr designer E.T. Gregorie. The company expanded its lineup with the new Super DeLuxe series, slotting above the entry-level Special and mid-range DeLuxe models. Exclusive features for the new flagship included bright chrome trim across all three grille sections, full-length body moldings, and brightwork accenting the fenders, window surrounds, and taillights. Distinctive script badging and uniquely styled bumpers further distinguished the range-topping model.

Ford also extracted more performance from its long-running flathead V-8. The 221-cubic-inch engine was factory rated at 90 horsepower—five more than the previous year—while revised gear ratios in the three-speed manual transmission made better use of the added power. A stronger frame, transverse leaf springs, improved shock absorbers, and a redesigned torsion bar stabilizer promised what Ford called a "sensational new ride" in period advertising. Hydraulic brakes further improved road manners, while color-keyed steel wheels fitted with beauty rings and full hubcaps completed the unmistakable style.

The Super DeLuxe Convertible offered here is finished in an elegant combination of grey with a black power-operated convertible top trimmed in red binding, complemented by a handsome red leather interior featuring seating for six. Super DeLuxe appointments include crank-operated vent windows, a two-spoke steering wheel with half-moon horn ring, and a sweeping wood-grained dashboard with period plastic trim accents and a glovebox-mounted clock. Dual sun visors, variable-speed windshield wipers, amber fog lamps, and the optional factory radio further enhance the driving experience while remaining true to the car's original character.

Restored under prior ownership and reportedly prepared for participation in the Peking to Paris Rally at one point, the car has since been returned to stock specification. Beautifully equipped and attractively finished, it represents one of the finest expressions of Ford's final pre-war styling and is a compelling example of the inaugural Super DeLuxe series.
