Company / History
The Morris motor company has a long and interesting history. The brand became successful thanks to William Richard Morris. He originally started out producing bicycles before moving into automobile manufacturing. The first Morris car was produced in 1913. The factory in Cowley, near Oxford, eventually became the heart of the company.
During the 1910s and 1920s, the Morris Oxford and Cowley were produced. These models contributed significantly to the company’s growth.
The Morris Ten-Four was introduced in 1932. The name “Ten-Four” refers to the car’s 10 hp tax rating and four-cylinder engine. In reality, the Morris produced 27 hp, but the lower 10 hp rating was more favourable for taxation purposes.

The engine is a four-cylinder unit with a displacement of 1,292 cc. The car is equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox with reverse gear.
History
The Morris Ten-Four was registered in the Netherlands in 2011 and has had two owners in the Netherlands. The previous owner owned the car for several years and purchased it from its first Dutch owner. This previous owner had the engine rebuilt.
Condition
The Morris Ten-Four is in beautiful condition and is very comfortable to drive. It is a spacious four-seater with a beautiful interior.
The Morris starts, drives and shifts perfectly, and all the lights are working. A video of the car is available.
